The train schedule in the north-western part of the Netherlands is changed for Thursday October 5, 2017. Due to stormy weather, fewer trains run between Zaandam and Alkmaar, and passengers between Amsterdam and Den Helder must change trains at Alkmaar.
Intercity 800 (Maastricht - Amsterdam Centraal - Alkmaar) does not run between Zaandam and Alkmaar.
Intercity 3000 (Nijmegen - Amsterdam Centraal - Den Helder) is separated in Alkmaar. An intercity Nijmegen - Amsterdam - Alkmaar will run, and an intercity Alkmaar - Den Helder will run.
Peak trains from/to Schagen will not run.
Local trains (sprinters) and all other trains will run as scheduled.
These changes are effective on Thursday until approximately 14:00 hours.
