Face masks mandatory in all trains

Message

It is mandatory to wear a face mask in the train and other public transport. This obligation applies to anyone aged 13 years or older, and the fine for not wearing a face mask is 95 euros.

Wearing a face mask is not mandatory at the station or at the bus stop, but it is strongly recommended by the authorities.

You have to take care of your own face mask. You can use disposable face mask as well as reusable ones.

Face masks can be bought at various shops and webshops. On this page (in Dutch) you will find an overview with a large number of webshops and shops: https://www.rijdendetreinen.nl/informatie/mondkapjes-kopen-voor-ov.
