Less frequent intercity service on Sunday 28 July

Due to the hot weather, many train units have broken down. Because of this, NS runs a less frequent intercity service on some lines on Sunday 28 July.

Fewer intercity trains will run on the following routes:

• Amsterdam-Haarlem-Den Haag (train numbers 21xx cancelled)
• Amsterdam-Alkmaar (train numbers 8xx cancelled)
• Amsterdam-Eindhoven-Sittard (train numbers 39xx cancelled)
• Intercity direct Amsterdam-Rotterdam (train numbers 10xx cancelled)

Use the journey planner before you depart. All changes in the timetable are included in the journey planner.

Tip: bring a bottle of water when you travel by train in this hot summer weather. You are allowed to take a bottle of water (or other drinks) in all trains in the Netherlands.
